WHAT TO SAY (2)...

11. To say, “Look at this gorgeous card I found.” Don’t keep something that pretty to yourself. 12. To congratulate someone on a new car. Butter them up for when you inevitably ask to borrow it. 13. To celebrate Thanksgiving. No one sends “Happy Thanksgiving” cards. Be unique. 14.To celebrate the Fourth of July. If they’re American, it’s sort of a second birthday card. 15. To congratulate someone on a promotion. If appropriate, maybe include your résumé. 16.To wish someone good luck on an upcoming surgery. Not that you need luck or anything. You’re in very skilled, capable hands. 16.To share a recipe. Add one tablespoon of friendship … 18.To wish someone a happy anniversary. Sticking to mile

Lead Them To Water

I have a young lady in my stamping group who has moved from the West Coast to upcountry South Carolina. She is constantly "collecting" our Southern-isms. One of our sayings is "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." Well, if you use the correct link, you can lead a client to the product, and we hope she will purchase. How do you lead them to the specific product? Read on. LINK TO RESOURCES WITH STAMPIN’ UP! Want to create direct links to your on-line store for products, categories and more? Pinterest Sections and Pin Codes

Raining, pouring, pounding. I LOVE rainy days. Love the sounds as I sit and surf. The damp, cool weather makes me want to sit around in my fuzzies and read, sleep, and research/type/work. My retirement hobby is selling Stampin’ Up and teaching others to use SU products. I use Social Media to market my SU services. I am working on Social Media ideas today, more specifically, organizing my Pinterest boards a bit better. I have deleted some and added some. I also made some sub-sections in a few boards. Did you know you could do that? Go to Pinterest. Pinterest will come up like the illus. Click on your Profile and then on the word Boards. Then click on one board. Your pins on that board will c

Bows and More Bows

My Stamping classes do not always consist of making paper products. Some of the ladies wanted me to teach them how to make bows. We had one class on making bows from paper. These are great for inexpensive bows for packages. You can make one bow from on 12 x 12 inch sheet of DSP. They cost at least $2.99 in a favorite hobby store. Here is one example of our creations: My mom made beautiful bows for wreaths and trees, and taught me how to make them too. However, the way she made them caused me to get cramp in my thumb; as she got older, her hands cramped as she was holding the centers together as she made the loops. I so wish she had learned to make the Messy Bows because they are so much easi

Triangle Card

Hello! Can you believe my Rhododendron has buds with color showing? I live in upstate South Carolina an the temperature was near 70 F this week! I could have gotten a suntan several days in the month of January! This is a stock picture, not mine. I thought if you live on another continent, you might not know about this plant. They usually grow in cool climates. It has been said that the leaves curl inward (length-wise) when the weather is cold. I have actually observed this. Isn't it wonderful how God made even the plants to be protected? AND, He can protect us! (Psalm 32) I love flowers, nature, taking in all the things God has created for us to enjoy. I love creating with paper.

Teepee Card

This is SO unusual! I saw Jackie Bultjie's video and another sample on Pinterest and I just HAD to make one. I did this one in a bit of a hurry, so it is not decorated for a contest! LOL. BUT I hope the pictures give you enough WOW! to want to make your own. If you do, please put it here so we can ooh and aah over it! I am packing up my craft room so I can move it to another location and I have been in a bit in a "mood." I don't quite know what to make; what to keep out for a bit; what to go ahead and pack with the idea that I won't need it for 4 months or so. The packing is another reason for not many embellishments being used on this Teepee card. I don't really have time to write a tutoria

STAMPIN’UP BLENDS' TIPS I LOVE the versatility of the Stampin'Up Blends. So many colors to chose from, to combine, to blend! You will have so much fun that you will want to try every one of them! If they are new to you, I have put together a few tips to help you get started. Don't be afraid; just experiment and enjoy the creativity! (SHOP) At first glance, you don't even notice blending on this card, but look closely at the flower. There is a darker pink and lighter pink BLENDED so you do not see a distinctive difference. You don't see a line between the 2 shades. Isn't that a neat technique? You have got to try these pens. Beautiful possibilities! 1. Blends tend to bleed through. Be sure t
